After a big break from sewing, I decided to get back into it with an easy pattern. Et voila! Fifi!

The pictures were actually taken in October last year, hence it was warm enough to wear short pjs in the garden!

Tilly and the Button‘s Fifi pattern was good fun to sew. Simple and easy to follow, but lots of little details to make it interesting. I love the pleats on the cups. There’s a useful blog on the website with tips to sew the pattern. I did a bust adjustment using these instructions, which was really easy with the pleats.

I bought the fabric at Walthamstow Market a long time ago for about £3 per metre and I have been waiting for the right project for it. It’s a lightweight cotton so perfect for these pyjamas – the fabric shows off the flowing shape from being cut on the bias. And they’re so comfy! I’ll definitely make some more this year now it’s starting to warm up again.
